I have been running playback systems since 2006 when we filmed the videos for Sting’s Songs from the Labyrinth album. I then built the playback rig for the Police reunion tour in 2007/2008. Since then, I have had several iterations of my own playback rig with audio interfaces from M-Audio and MOTU in conjunction with a Radial SW8 switcher. I am currently using an iConnectivity 1U, having had much success with the iConnectivity PlayAudio 12. I use Pro Tools and Ableton for playback; they both have their strengths and weaknesses. Most recently, I have been on tour with Simply Red running their playback rig.
